B Chord Brewing, 34266 Williams Gap Road, Round Hill, VA 20142

“B Chord” is old Bluegrass slang for “the best of its kind." The world shut down in 2020 but B Chord kept music and hope alive on its outdoor stage that continues to host some of the world's biggest names in bluegrass, from Del McCoury to Sierra Hull to Sam Bush and every one in between. NOW, FOR SOMETHING YA DON'T FIND EVERY DAY at this B Chord Bluegrass mecca: JULESAPALOOZA is a day-fest in its 2nd year, featuring an incredibly diverse line-up of some of the DMV's biggest musical acts - NEVER BEFORE ASSEMBLED ON THE SAME BILL. From Bobby Thompson's tasty folk-soul-blues to The Bumper Jackson's colorful New Orleans-meets-Appalachia to The Ron Holloway Band's energetic funky soul, jazz blues to The Darby Brother's BIG sound and iconic classic rock to Chris Timbers' alternative soul to Jules & The Agreeables' bouncy brand of Pop-Americana...THIS SHOW HAS GOT IT ALL!!! Best of all, these musicians have collaborated over the years in separate and varied projects, but never been all together in one show. The camaraderie will be OFF THE CHARTS. Here's some info on these prodigious players: 2:00 pm: BOBBY THOMPSON: It’s been said that creativity takes courage, and that self-expression is a way to show the world your inner soul. With a new group of songs and a new full-length album in the works, Bobby has let down his guard, and become more than the instrumentalist he gained a reputation for. He recently won a WAMMIE (Washington Area Music Association) award for 2018 best blues album, and although there are strong overtones of the blues in his writing, he sees himself essentially as a folk-blues singer-songwriter, sometimes solo, and sometimes with a little amp, and a band. 2:45 pm: THE BUMPER JACKSONS are hot and sweet, painting America's story from the streets of New Orleans to Appalachian hollers. Unafraid to scrap together new sounds from forgotten 78's, the Bumper Jacksons elegantly balance paying homage to the traditions while fashioning their own unique, playful style. The group began as a duo, a city-meets-country experiment between songstress Jess Eliot Myhre and banjo player Chris Ousley. They hopped on bicycles, touring the country, instruments on their backs, seeking to reimagine roots music. In five short years, Bumper Jacksons grew to a fiery five-piece, with horns and pedal steel. They now tour internationally, and have been honored multiple times as the Mid-Atlantic's "Artist of the Year," "Best Country/Americana Band" & "Best Folk Band" at the Washington Area Music Awards. Bursting at the seams with some of the richest threads of old America, Bumper Jacksons bring you into the center of a party where everyone's invited and the dance floor never sleeps. 4:00 pm: CHRIS TIMBERS BAND: Together with Mike Tony Echols on bass and vocals, drummer Paul Dudley, saxophonist Eli Gonzalez, and lead guitarist Peter Thomas, Chris Timbers brings you a dynamic style of music that’s a combination of country, contemporary jazz, blues, rock and “alternative soul.” Together they continue to revamp old songs while writing and recording new ones. Timbers’ first solo album, "Keep Moving," is a journey through his heart and soul. The album showcases Timbers’ diverse writing styles. His fans will hear rock undertones combined with a delicate mixture of R&B, country, and jazz and blues influences. 5:15 pm: THE RON HOLLOWAY BAND is a high energy, sax-driven funk machine combining sax driven jams along with soaring female vocals, intensely emotive guitar and hard hitting grooves to deliver a full-on funk, rocking show! Pulling from influences such as Sly & the Family Stone, Parliament Funkadelic and other funk masters, RHB provides a blend of rock, funk, soul and R&B grooves to hit you with a high-energy sound and presence. RHB features Blues Hall of Famer, Jenny Langer; Rachel Ann; Justin Gillen, Rodney Dutton and then of course, the man, the myth, the legend: Mr. Ron Holloway! American tenor saxophonist, Ron Holloway, is widely known for his ability to adapt to virtually any musical environment and has been a member of, or performed with: the Warren Haynes Band, Susan Tedeschi Band, Dizzy Gillespie Quintet, Gil Scott-Heron's band and Root Boy Slim's band. Gov't Mule, Tedeschi-Trucks Band, The Allman Brothers, Little Feat, Taj Mahal, Dirty Dozen Brass Band and the Allman Betts Band. 6:30 pm: JULES & THE AGREEABLES (coming right up...) 7:50 pm: THE DARBY BROS: Inspired by the legends of the 70’s and 80’s the Darby Brothers (and yes they really are all brothers) meticulously recreate the masters of classic rock. Super-charged with talent, the Brothers offer up unforgettably authentic and POWERFUL performances. Take a ride back in time and let the songs from Journey, Zeppelin, Boston, The Eagles, The Doors, Hendrix, Foreigner, and Petty feed your musical memories and soul. Then, prepare to be wowed by The Darby Brothers' long-time popular and never-before-heard originals. Jerry and Jeff Darby's vocals soar above an already stratospheric and incomparable vocal blend that leaves audiences stunned and begging for more. It's nothing less than a super charged, exhilarating wild ride at every show that will rock your world. The Darby Brothers are a MUST-SEE-AND-HEAR live performance!
